I am an economist, a former journalist, translator, PR specialist and a life-long learner.
My current work as a research assistant/researcher covers social media in crisis management and communication, international law, human rights law, and censorship in media.
I am interested in media policy, law and international politics.
In times I do not work, I cook, blog and read about technology.
I intend to be a member of the EU before Turkey is.
Please note that I will be in London on June 28th and July 5th. Besides these dates, I will be staying in Oxford for the first half of July. I would urge anyone who wants to contact me to use my e-mail address above. Please do not send anything by mail to my official and permanent address in the first half of July, as I will not be able to receive those and the post office will send them back if I am not there to receive them. Please also know that my permanent phone number will be offline during the specified time interval. I will be able to receive important calls on my UK mobile phone carrier and I will provide people with the new phone number if necessary.
I have been receiving calls from the IRST (TUİÇ) in Beşiktaş about calls and mail received in my name. Luckily they are kind enough to let me know; however, I would like people and organizations to use my new address. Since the fall of last year, I have ceased all of my affiliations with the IRST (TUİÇ) including the related platforms One Magazine and Anatolia Daily.
Please send your mail to Koç University with my name as the receiver.
Please do not call the IRST (TUİÇ) office in Beşiktaş to reach me. You can reach me via e-mail far easier and faster.
