Humans are a species, just like many other things in the world. As a species, we have the right to destroy some part of nature just like any other animal or plant. Nature has very complicated means to cover for us. Call it ecological, biological, meteorological or evolutionary means. Everything we do has a result, while not necessarily everything we do has a clear purpose. If a group of lions find too much food, their population will rise, but there will not be enough food for all of them after a point. Nature will balance it out. If global warming screws the climate, in the long run, the planet will fix itself. If we wear out natural resources, we will decrease in population sooner or later. Yet Another Lie Exposed in Turkey
After the beginning of the Gezi Park protests, many claims piled up on national media. They were mostly harsh comments about the protesters’ “real” intentions and very controversial allegations. These claims by government officials and media organizations aligned with the government almost never turned out to be true, however, they caused the pro-government people to go out in the streets and attack the peaceful protesters, police to shout “Allah Allah”* while beating up protesters, about eight thousand people injured, 7 young people dead. Kadir Topbaş Saat Kaçta Yatıyor?
İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi meclisinden “oy birliğiyle” geçen karara göre Taksim Meydanı yayalaştırılacak. Oy birliğiyle kısmını bir yere not alın, neden önemli olduğunu birazdan aktaracağım. Daha dün “3. köprü cinayettir” diyenler, bugün 3. köprüyü ballandıra ballandıra sunuyorlar. Aynı kişiler daha dün “tek parti döneminde halkın düşüncesinin hiçbir önemi yoktu, halka rağmen politika oluşturulurdu, düzenleme yapılırdı” diyorlardı. Bugün ise şunu diyorlar: “ne yaparsanız yapın, biz karar verdik ve bu düzenleme yapılacak.” Bunu bir muhalif hezeyanı olarak düşünenler için geliyor: evet, başbakan bunu açık ve net şekilde aynen böyle söyledi.
